夏合宿は、子供たちにとっても大人にとっても、学びと成長の場であり、コミュニティを深める貴重な機会です。今年も新宿区立女神湖高原学園での合宿が行われ、一般部21名、少年部15名という大人数での活動が実現しました。早朝の集合から始まり、長野県の長門牧場への訪問、そして女神湖高原学園での宿泊と、盛りだくさんのスケジュールが組まれていました。
合宿の目的の一つは、空手の稽古です。体育館での稽古は、基本から移動稽古、形、組手まで、幅広い技術を磨く絶好の機会となりました。特に、涼しい風が少ない中での稽古は、参加者にとってさらなる挑戦であり、麦茶を飲みながらの休憩も一息つく貴重な時間でした。
合宿では、食事の時間も大切な役割を果たします。親子丼や海の幸をふんだんに使った夕食、そして定番のカレー昼食は、参加者が一日の疲れを癒し、交流を深める場となりました。大人はビールで乾杯し、子供たちは怪談話を聞きながら夏の思い出を作りました。
また、雨天にも関わらず屋根の下で行われた花火大会は、昨年の出来事を踏まえ、安全に配慮された楽しいイベントとなりました。２日目の朝は、雨予報によりマラソンが中止され、空手の稽古に集中することができました。
帰路のバスでは、恒例のビンゴ大会が行われ、賞品を手にした参加者の笑顔が見られました。事故渋滞による遅延はありましたが、無事に帰宅することができ、参加者にとって充実した合宿となったことでしょう。
このように、新宿区立女神湖高原学園での夏合宿は、技術の向上はもちろん、仲間との絆を深め、新たな思い出を作る場として、参加者にとってかけがえのない時間となりました。来年も、この伝統が続き、さらに多くの笑顔が生まれることを期待しています。
