こんにちは、壮勇館の遠藤です。６月１７日に行われた昇級審査会の様子をお伝えします。審査会は午後１時３０分から始まりました。
まずは基本からです。白帯から茶帯まで、各級ごとに前進、後退、突き、蹴りなどの技を見せました。みんな真剣な表情でしたが、時々笑顔も見せてくれました。
次に形です。形とは空手の型のことで、一人で決められた動きをします。形には色々な種類がありますが、今回は平安の形をメインに受審級別に披露しました。形は美しく見えるだけでなく、技の意味や呼吸法も大切です。みんなそれぞれに個性を出していました。
最後に組手です。組手は同級の人がペアになって行いました。昇級審査では約束組手と言って、攻撃側が上段突き、中段付き、前蹴りなど決まっている技を仕掛け、受け手がそれを捌いて反撃するものです。約束組手は、相手との間合いやスピード、気合など実践的な組手を意識しながら行います。初心者などは、相手に怪我をさせてはいけないと思い、突きや蹴りが相手に当たらないような攻撃をしていましたが、佐原会長からは、「相手のことを考えるならば、しっかりと突きなさい。それが相手のためになる。」と諭していました。審査会は約２時間で終わりました。合否は次回のお楽しみ。
空手は体力や技術だけでなく、精神面も鍛えられます。コロナもようやく終息に向かい、空手の稽古も昔に戻りつつあります。興味のある方はぜひ見学に来てください。
